About Afterward

Afterward is an AI-powered estate administration service operated by Sai Sumedh Garimella (we, us, our). By creating an account or using our service, you agree to these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, please do not use Afterward.

What Afterward does

Afterward uses artificial intelligence to assist executors with estate administration tasks, including notifying institutions, tracking tasks, and drafting correspondence.

Afterward is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. The service is designed to assist with administrative tasks only. For legal questions about probate, inheritance tax, or the distribution of an estate, you should consult a qualified solicitor.

Similarly, Afterward does not provide financial or tax advice. For complex IHT situations, consult a qualified accountant or tax adviser.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Afterward. By creating an account, you confirm that you are the executor or administrator of the estate you are managing, or have been authorised to act on their behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at sumedh.garimella02@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Afterward for any unlawful purpose
• Submit false or misleading information about an estate
• Attempt to access another user's estate data
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or otherwise misuse the service
• Use the service to facilitate fraud or financial crime

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Pricing and payment

Afterward charges a flat fee of £499 per estate administration. Pricing is displayed clearly before you commit to a paid estate.

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. All prices include VAT where applicable.

Refunds: If you have not yet started an estate and request a refund within 14 days of payment, we will issue a full refund. Once an estate has been started and the agent has begun working, refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Your data

You retain ownership of all data you submit to Afterward. By using the service, you grant us a limited licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

AI-generated content

Afterward uses AI to generate correspondence, documents, and recommendations on your behalf. While we take care to ensure accuracy, AI can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before sending it to any institution, government body, or third party.

We are not liable for errors in AI-generated content that you have reviewed and approved.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afterward's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses, including loss of data, loss of income, or delays in estate administration caused by third-party institutions.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

Service availability

We aim to keep Afterward available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or experience outages beyond our control. We will notify you of planned downtime where possible.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Afterward after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
